Employers are battling it out to attract and retain top talent by utilizing specialized benefits and perks to draw prospective employees away from the competition. As organizations comb job boards and career-focused social media networks, they continue to overlook a source of hidden talent: people with intellectual disabilities.About 6.5 million people in the U.S. have an intellectual disability, according to research from the Special Olympics, and the causes of these conditions can range from genetic issues, injuries or disease.
