One of the countless consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic has been an increase in technology usage. In fact, researchers at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health found that telehealth consultations rose from 0.3% from March to June 2019 to 24% during the same period in 2020. Medical research was also forced to switch from in-person to digital meetings with research participants. This trend, coupled with the fact that 97% of all U.S. adults own a cellphone, highlights a potential avenue for researchers.
